Anne McTaggart MSP was pleased to attend CAS’s ‘Depend on Us’ Scottish Parliamentary reception this week. The reception, held on Tuesday 25th March, was a chance for MSPs to find out more information about the services provided by CAS and hear about the future work of the Citizens Advice Service across Scotland.
Ms McTaggart, a longstanding supporter of CAS, said “I was delighted to be able to attend this event and hear about all the great work being done by Citizens Advice Scotland. It was also a real pleasure to meet Chief Executive Margaret Lynch (pictured) and talk about the future of CAS.
The people of Glasgow are facing real difficulties because of the cuts from the Tory led UK Government and the unwillingness of the Scottish Government to offer real help to those in need. In the absence of this assistance, it’s really important that organisations such as CAS continue to provide much needed advice to some of the most vulnerable people in society. We must continue to campaign and make sure CAS gets the recognition it deserves.”
